    • PABLO AIR’s drone traffic management program: PABLO AIR, a South Korean company, won a 2024 CES Innovation Award in the Smart City category for its Urban Air Mobility (UAM) traffic management platform, 'UrbanLinkX'. This platform reduces traffic management workload, improves economic viability, and mitigates operational risks
    • Sheco Ark-M: an underwater cleanup drone: This drone, developed by a company in Korea, is more like a water-based robot vacuum cleaner. It collects pollutants from the water, stores them, and releases purified water. It won a CES 2024 Innovation Award
    • Walmart’s keynote that puts drone delivery front and center: Walmart made significant announcements about its drone delivery system. They have expanded their drone delivery service to more than 60,000 homes in the Dallas – Fort Worth area and plan to reach millions of customers in 2024
    • Canon MS-500: a tiny, nighttime camera: This camera is equipped with a SPAD sensor and can capture long-range images in low lights. It could be beneficial for drone pilots who need to identify far-off targets accurately
    • RuggON’s Ground Control System (GCS): This ground control system from Taiwan is compatible with most types of drones and is designed for rugged environments. It provides Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning and tracking services, and its low-latency video software decoder allows real-time, high-resolution video viewing and data collection 5.
  • UMEX and SimTEX 2024: January 22-25, 2024 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. UMEX is the Middle East’s premier event for drones, robotics, components, and unmanned systems. It’s an excellent opportunity to explore the latest advancements in the drone industry and witness the convergence of technology from various sectors
